1 Din aftermarket radio removal

Featured Replies

How do i remove the blaupunkt daytona mp53 radio?

I'm running out of ideas!

Thx in advance? :)

Don't know the HU specifically but i'd guess you'll need a set of stereo keys and slip them down the sides to unlock the cage. If it's anything like when I fitted my 1DIN HU to put it in/take it out I have to pull the shelf out/in underneath at the same time.

What have you tried to get it out so far?

The first time I tried to remove a radio I went out and purchased the correct keys and failed. If you ever want to remove a radio you don't use keys, you ask someone who had a misspent youth, after doing that my radio was out in under 30 seconds with zero damage using two thin strips of .7mm alloy. Removing the cubby hole won't help as the cage should/will be locked in place and it normally won't release all the way anyway.
