Stance and Stage 2

Featured Replies

Got a few pics so i thought id start a build thread, Ive been wanting an Octavia for a while, so when i sold my previous car i got this off a member off here,(Simon?) full service history, well looked after, just a couple of niggly things but they are sorted now.

First off was a trip to my local DVLA office to sort this i had just bought,

Went shopping and came back with a boot full of goodies

I picked the coilovers up from Rich at Venom Motorsport, http://www.venommotorsport.com/
and the wheels came from Gav at the speed factory http://www.thespeedfactory.co.uk/ who managed to sort me a good deal and I had the wheels within 2 days of ordering.

get tyres next week then i can get the coilovers exactly where i want them, cant get too excited on back as i need it a little user freindly so we can carry our caravan.

Then i can start on the engine, I used to have a golf anniversary which was quick but i went stage 1 then stage 2, which was expensive so this time im going straight to stage 2..

Im also guna get the bodywork looking brand new again as i think the standard vRS' look perfect only addition will be a cupra r splitter.

Ill update as soon as i make any progress

Ive got a westfalia on the beetle, its a good quality kit, there is a detachable towbar on the octavia but the actual 'swan neck' has been lost, i dont know if i could find one or if it would be easier buying a new kit??

Wheels on :-) needs abit of fine fettling on the rear arches but the fronts are fine, altho i need to put a slight notch in the chassis as the drive shaft rubs every now and again, its booked in the body shop in a couple of month as my mate is mega busy, but that gives me time to start on the stage 2 mods,

Ooooooo so 9.5s do go on the rear

What trouble is it u get on it mate ?

Archwise ?

I do looooooove it :)

Cheers guys, no trouble really Lloyd, im running 215 40 on the rear, it hardly catches, i dont hear its just the fact that some of the tyre shine ends up on the arch :-) n theres a very slight mark on the tyre were it has rubbed it off, so 215 35 prob be perfect, im guna get my mate to roll them ever so slightly as id rather do this than run camber shims only reason is for when the caravan is on the back i dont fancy going through tyres even quicker, 19s would be a real head ache though ha. I can take some measurements of anything you like?? Oh and im going to put 3mm spacers on front as the wheels are very close to the coilovers, n see how close it is to the arch then...

Hehe sheeeet 215s on a 9.5 lol
