Aspiration means drawing in by suction, which explains how a typical engine brings air into its intake manifold and then its cylinders. Turbochargers and superchargers, on the other hand, force air into their engines’ intake manifolds at greater-than-atmospheric pressure. Such an engine would be referred to generally as a forced-air-induction engine.

but if it says it does forced induction on the box then you should be fine . although a normal panel filter is good for around 200bhp. not sure what noise difference it will make ??

got the kit on now and it's loud.

Hi guys do any of you know if there is a hole in the firewall / bulk head that I can feed the boost gauge hose through? I've had a quick look and can't really see anywhere without taking the lower dashboard off under the steering wheel. Part of me is beginning to think I'm going to have to drill a hole for the hose into the firewall / bulk head. Any help will be much appreciated. I have also made myself a small device to attach to the upper intercooler pipe for the gauge reading. I'm going to wait to fit the boost gauge as I'm buying a front mounted intercooler in the next couple of month. So I'm going to do a lot of planning ahead before I dive in not knowing what I'm doing. Thanks

where you putting the guage? there is a nice big grommet behind the glove box / under the brake servo etc ( from engine bay) its dead easy to get to etc and would be easy to run your hose through

on my leon i ran it in with the bonnet cable

Grommit behind the glove box works best, something like 6 screws to take the glovebox out. I found mine buzzed quite badly when under boost so I had to get an inline damper:

My boost gauge is reading that my car over boosts at 1.9 bar then settles to 1.5/1.6 bar. Does this mean my fabia is remapped? Posted Image

If its running 1.6 it will be remapped as they run 1.4 standard. Is the needle flickering so it looks like it's at 1.6 or is steady? My needle was fluttering and looked like it was boosting to that but once I sorted that it is at 1.4

no the needle stay steady pal

no the needle stay steady pal

Remapped then you lucky boy

Spiking to 1.9 is way over boosting and really not healthy, it can be smoothed out by mapping. Or you have a vacuum issue, mine spikes to max 1.7 before dropping back to 1.6.

well it's been doing for over a year and the turbo is holding up. Checked for leaks and stuff and there isn't any. I'm gunna do egr delete and inter cooler next anyway so we will see then. If the turbo goes pop it's goes pop it's all the joys of motoring isn't it. But like I say it's been like this since I got it I'm guessing and she runs fine lol
