Featured Replies

Hi,

Anyone been to Santa Pod (etc.) and recorded a 1/4 mile or 0-60 mph (100kmh) time please.

Also, highest, on the clock speed, what have you achieved legally on a track etc !!

Best wishes

John

At santa Pod I recorded 15.53 @ 87.26mph

16.6 on a non-remapped car has been seen... not by me, obviously, I wouldn't do that to my spangly still-under-warranty vehicle ;)

John,

Not many been on tracks long enough to achieve top clock. However this coming saturday we are running around Bruntingthorpe, which has a max 2 mile straight, so it will be a good test...of course no timing or measuring equipment can be used, so will have to rely on good old cowboy tales from the cockpit.

Hope that helps.

Colin.

From another post here's my Elvington 1/4 mile prior to the pikey mod 1/2, and 200 miles before it's 10k service, ambient temp was in the region of 8 degrees I believe in February.

0 - 60 (Secs) : 6.63

0 - 100 (Secs) : 17.08

Quarter Mile (Secs) : 15.04

Terminal Speed (MPH) : 93.81

Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.84

Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 95.45

Rear tyres were up 3 psi and the fronts down 3, also parcel shelf was removed along with spare wheel :D

If I had been racing I might have been humiliated twice by a girl, yes :finger::rofl:

But of course, that didn't happen, I respect my car and show it mechanical sympathy ;)

Did you use asr?

John

Did you use asr?

John

ASR is the devil! Never, ever use it when trying to get off the mark in a hurry!

Yes :o

Think people are forgetting my remapped 14.84 at Elvington and 6.63 0-60 :) I thought that was a pretty respectable time?

Did you use asr?

John

Yes :o I tried twice without it on and just couldn't get the power down without spinning the wheels to much. Not enough practise I guess  I could have done more run on the day and pushed it more but I'd rather be able to make it home at the end of the day.
