hi ,

i have bought around 4 months ago a octava 09 plate 1.4 tsi,auto gearbox,40.000 miles on the clock with that start and stop system on it.Everything was ok ,when i was in trafic or at a red stop the revs droped to 0 rpm,all good.....but while i was driving downhill, the car started to accelerate by it self to 4000rpm.i jstopped the car for 1 minute and the o drove off ,all good again.but now when i m at a red light or in traffic the rpm won t go 0.I have been to skoda dealership for a scan and they told me that nothing it s wrong with the car and that i don t have that start and stop system on it.This is crazy now:)

i have been to local mechanic and they told me that maybe the fuse for the system it s gone ,but they have to locate it first.

any suggestions ???????

I am not sure any model in the Octavia range had the start/stop technology in 2009, in fact I don't think that any of the MK2 Octavias have it installed at all except the greenline.

suggests it was introduced in 2010 for some models, but yours is a 2009.
