skoda bonnet emblem

Featured Replies

Anybody seem ir even purchased/fitted one of the Skoda bonnet emblems as seen on ebay?

Tis a similar idea/style to the chrome metal Mercedes bonnet star but with the Skoda logo and it actually sticks straight on, rather then fits in a purpose made hole!

I ask as it would be interesting to gauge opinion...

A: Lovely, I want one! or,

B: WTF! are you mad?

The listing number for those who wish a peep, is 221209958239.

Ur mad

Madness... I can't see that lasting very long with all the little oiks thieving anything not nailed down...

Need to see a photo of it on your car.... also at £8.99 quality probably questionable

I'd be inclined to believe that if it's not spring loaded like the Merc one it's illegal.

Go for it so we can have a laugh

Probably best to avoid it. I saw a pouncing jaguar emblem on the bonnet of a Vauxhall Insignia the other day. Looked rather silly!

It is held on with sticky tape

Wouldn't this also be against the law, unsafe etc?

Whats bothers me then legality is

1. Its out of proportation, its looks like some child has drawn the template

2. It doesnt suit the style of any current models.

3. Even mercedes dont use it anymore, over time time they slowly killd these off

I did a bit of mis-spelin veer! But, I do not have one, just wanted to see peoples reactions to them!

The idea is sound, many manufacturers did something like this in the past. As for the law, I think it may be illegal to build the car with one but retro-fitting may still be legal!

I should have perhaps had this in a general chat as with the Fabia's bonnet, it will not actually fit nice anyway. Perhaps a classic (Rust-bucket) Skoda would suit it better.

The quality too, may be suspect but improve this and perhaps it could look ok on some variants with a flat bonnet.

As for the Merc's, I had one and many, many replacement stars, prior to running a coated steel cable through it, through the towing eye and with a fairly hefty lock, during parked up hours!

This is the classic Skoda Badge, it makes the winged logo actually make some sense... :)

But the one you want to buy would look silly!
