installing a Bolero

Featured Replies

whats needed to install this into a 07 VRS, is it just a matter of pulling the old unit out and putting in the new one?

any downside of upgrading or will all of the original features of the car still be used ie parking sensors, AUX port in the jumbo box? etc...

Had mine radio swing swapped for vwrcd510. Plug&Play direct. All works fine except steering volume+- :@ Any kind soul able to guide?

LOADS of threads on this subject.

In short, its a dead simple swap - even uses the same fascia. But, on an 07 plate you might be borderline as to whether you'll need to upgrade your CAN Gateway to prevent battery drain. If so, thats another £80 (see Eddie-NL on here for one).

Parking sensors and Climate visuals will not be displayed. Climate might with an upgrade Climate panel from a FL. PDC is a pretty expensive and labour intensive fix but you'll still get your beeps.

AUX port will just be an unplug, plug into the Bolero job. Simple.

Is a good upgrade - makes the interior a MUCH nicer place to be. The Stream is a horrible little thing...

Cheers guys for the replies, yeah the car has the xenons, maxidot, and jumbo just missing the stereo as the stream just looks so dated lol
