EDIT: must have pressed send before finished. But no I haven't in person but I'm sure there was a video on YouTube where it spat but again not sure if it was actually flames or something going seriously wrong, either way it didnt sound great!

Not sure what exhaust it was running, but a fabia vrs that I was tailing round Castle Combe last year did produce a short burst of flame or substantial sparks (can't remember which) when lifting off before braking into quarry.

I have in car footage of it somewhere much to the delight of the driver.

Only flames ive saw from my piper exhaust was carbon and crud flying out on a rolling road, setting the floor alight!

Baffles in the exhaust? Happened to an old car of mine! Started sparking like mad and then it sounded rubbish.

Never seen a diesel flaming but both my old fiestas used to!

Maybe the guy had a flame thrower kit fitted to give if that ''real race car look'' ??

My old 106 also spat big flames, loved it !

As said never seen a diesel flame. My old rs turbo did :-) looked wicked

My Mini used to do it both through the exhaust on over run and also through the trumpets of the 45 weber's on it, was a tad scary at times when it did so. Know my mates Supercharged Metro does it on gear changes too as nearly got caught out by a 6ft flame on the rollers.
