Hi, I need the timing belt changed on my 98 Octavia.

I am based in Sutton, South London and looking for a mechanic to do this work for me - the car only cost 700 quid so not looking to go to a main dealer for this work.

Id have thought any local garage would be doing them in their sleep mate with the number of them out there so shop around

I got mine done at an independant for about £300 including water pump, tensioners and what have you. Doubt you'll get much cheaper and theres no poitn skimping!
