Marangoni tyres.

Featured Replies

Ive got marangoni tyres on my vrs 205/45/16 (i think) they are really noisy on the road! Anyone else noticed this? Tempted to replace them.

Had them on Megane, they weren't quiet but gripped fairly well considering the abuse they had

They grip great but noisy as hell. The rears only have 3mm left so might replace the 4 at the same time.

Just replaced a set of these on a Fabia vRS, awful tyres for noise, the drumming was unbearable at times. Much better with a set of Toyo's on it now.

Had 205/40/17's, wouldn't have them again.

I have Nangkangs or however they spell it. They are noisy like hell. But, they were £48 per corner fitted. They do grip well and to be honest, with the state of our roads and the limited amount of track days that normal people like myself do, they are perfect! Just don't mention it on the internet of the sheep gang up on you to tell you that the product you find to be ok is actually rubbish. This is of course having never owned them their selves. :giggle:

I've got Chinese 5h!t on mine, something unpronounceable, great wear, good in the dry, not to noisy, and you just need to be a little careful in the wet, £200 supplied, fitted, and balanced for four. They meet all the correct specs and are aesthetically pleasing too.

Everybody said Oh no! don't use these, they're crap, but they stop me driving like a loon and the front have done 14 k and look good for another 5 or 6 k. Personally I think that's great, 20 k out of a pair of fronts even with my divers booted right foot, on a VRS Fabia, ye cannae whack it.

In fact the rears have I'd guess, about another 10 k at least in them.

My last Fabia went through a set of Pirelli P Zero Nero's in just under 8 k and cost nearly £200 just for the front's. :swear:

Having all four the same now also means that when it does let go, it is consistent and predictable. I like them and will get them again. So :moon: to all the rubber snobs :giggle:
