Brake springs

Featured Replies

Following on from a recent resurrected post about brake squeal, I bought myself the brake springs based on the part numbers previously provided. Springs are from a VW Sharan but fit octavia rear brakes. Now please could someone show in pictures where abouts they fit on before I lose the will to live. Please please please :)

Thanks bud, I hope not, they did take a hell of a winding back when we put the new discs and pads on, il give the springs a go first and see what it does

Aye, just get em the right way around (as theres 1 for the left, 1 for the right).

I got a set of these to go on may rubber domed bracket that already have the damping rubber ring on but now don't have the slit in the bracket to fit so will find another method.

After replacing the calipers, no mooing, squealing etc. Swapped for Pagid disks/pads all round too.

I have Pagid pads and must say they are quite good and did help in reducing mooing too.

Mintex disc's and pads were terrible

Fitting these to SWMBOs Leon seems to have stopped the squeaking but I did strip the pads off and cleaned everything up when I fitted them.

They look good & got them due to the silver finish. Wheel refurb next, then wheel/brake overhaul complete!

Think it could be one of a number of little jobs to do now that the weather is picking up
