VAGCOM cables.

Featured Replies

Sorry if this has been covered already. I'm after a VAGCOM cable, and i've read enough to know i don't want one from eBay. I've been looking at the official cables, but i'm unsure of which one i need. I did a search but didn't come up with a deffinitive answer. Seeing as i'm about to part with

I'm still struggling. :( Think I may go for one of the more reliable serial ports and borrow a mate's older laptop...

I'm DESPERATE for some VAG COM work in about two week's time, and I fear I'm going to have to put out a plea on Briskoda for some assistance. :(

you only need CAN for cars later than the MKV Golf (A3, A4, Octavia).

So the Fabia does not need it, but if you want to change up or renew when the car is replaced, you will need CAN.

Yes it does have CAN BUS but you dont need it.

Manguish has 2 "vagcom" cables from eBay, and neither of them work. I've tried everything i can think of, but they just won't connect.

I've only just bought the Fabia, and i'm planning on it lasting me a few years yet! I'll probably just go for the KEY-COM cable. If i can get Manguish and my dad to chip in too... :D

Both my 'ebay' cable and ColinG's cables both work just fine from our supplier.

Ahem, can you drop me a PM please? :) Totally unrelated matter. ;)

I got a cheapo from fleabay too, works fine but the seller is no longer around.

Group buy for vag-com cables is starting shortly on the TDi forum.

The cable they are offering in group buy 6 is supposed to work with version 411 and is not just the opto isolated version.
