Pretty good. If you deduct 10% you'll end up with a more accurate figure. Better still, brim the tank, drive till empty, return to full and then calculate the litres consumed to give your mpg figure.

My Superb Combi is recording 65.20mpg at present which is excellent considering the size of car.

That is good going!

I am consistently getting 600 miles per tank since having the tuning box on (A road and a little dual carriageway 35 mile round trip each day) - previously I was getting around 520-540 per tank.

Did a stint down the M5 not so long back and it was reading 71mpg at a steady 70/75.

I'm hoping once I've got a few more thousands on the clock it will increase further - currently on 5k.

Mine varies depending on the driving. I've just done over 8000 miles and so far my best tank is 76.08, the worst is 40.52. Still from what I'm told the engine isn't really run in till past 10K.

My 1.6/105hp Fabia is returning 45mpg on a 25 mile run at present. The car can return 70mpg when the outside temperature is over 25 but this drops to the low 40's average when the temperature is around 0. The car has done 22,000 miles and the fual consumption has been the same since I bought it at 13,ooo miiles.

The instantaneous fuel consumption reported on the dashboard is in the high 30's when driving at a steady 70 on a dual carriageway near Norwich. The road as level and dry at the time. No was could I get the sort of fuel consumtion figures you are reporting at present.

I wondered whether the cooling system thermostat was stuck so I asked the dealer to check it. All OK.

I am tempted to fit covers over the front of the car when the tempaeratur drops below 10 but my car has no water temperature gauge lot alone an oil temperature gauge so I am reluctant to do this.

As I have reported on another thread I recently got a cable and some software to use the car's diagnostic socket to see the remperatures and pressures. This showed the water gets up to 96 on a day when the outside temperature was 9. This was driving at 60 on a country road. So the cooling is about right, perhaps slightly on the hot side.

Interestingly the boost pressure got up to 34 psi accelerating past a slow car. That's a boost pressure of around 1.1 bar over ambient. So the turbo-charger is working!
