Skoda 1 - New Focus 0

Featured Replies

Just before people get med-evil on me again

Was in Gorners picking some bit's up on the way from a Job in Manchester and parked up next to a black Focus, Ganz Neu in black.

Bloody hell, it looked like it had been painted by one of my 3 year olds and a supersoaker at 300 yds, orange peel did not do it justice. Tried to snap it on the phone but could not get a good image. It really was truly aweful paintwork, and almost had the appearance of Hammerite.

Skoda may be the "budget" or "Value" brand in VAG, but at least they know how to apply paint

Fluff'

Sure it wasn't just dirty ;)

Nope, spotless, like it was straight from the valeting bay....

I thought the new focus looked horrible when i saw it in mag's but now i have seen it on the road a few times i think its alright.

Strange about the paint though, maybe the robots broke down that day

Not on my car they dont - bloody stuff keeps getting small cracks in it somehow... I dont even wash it when it's sunny, so god knows what it is. Should really go back to Withams, but i've not been especially impressed by them if I'm honest.

rant rant>

The paint on my previous Focus was superior to my Fabia's...

You mean with the orange-peel effect it was out of focus...
