Want to lower my vrs pd

Featured Replies

Need some advice here, I have noisy wishbone or arb bushes so going to replace all suspension bushes! Now would love to replace the dampers and springs aswell ! Would like to lower but not have a harsh ride! So really would like some info and feedback on your experiences! Thanks all!!!

I've lowered my CR vRS on an H&R Comfort (-20mm from standard vRS) Cup Kit. Ride is I think a bit firmer than standard but only slightly so, certainly not harsh or uncomfortable. I'm happy with it, though to be honest I haven't noticed major handling improvements, but then I'd fitted a new RARB a few days before to confuse things. Cost does add up when you factor in labour and replacing other worn parts (rear bump stops, front top mounts/top mount bearings and front drop links on mine).

Before fitting the Cup Kit I fitted a new Whiteline RARB which made a huge difference (improvement) to the handling: no more vague understeer and much less bodyroll. The suspension has made a smaller difference to handling feel.

In terms of looks of course the RARB doesn't add anything!
