Drivers door locking issue !

Featured Replies

I know many have listed this before !

Decided to strip the door down earlier and see what I could see ..... Underneath the rubber by the door hinge i have 2 wires broke all together and the rest all have splits showing the copper wire so I think a new door loom is in order !!

Has anyone done the same and are they a pain to change ?

that doesnt sound good (or right) loom is easy to change as you have the door stripped, there is the main plug connector that goes into the a/b pillar through the rubber door grommit, then plugs into the various motors, its also clipped to the door, undo each connector carefully and clips, then remove and replace. You can repair, but unless you are good at soldering and make sure you can protect the wiring accordingly i would change the loom as a job. Less work that way too.
