"Gateway" fault code/ re DSG gremlins

Featured Replies

I had the Octavia in yesterday, Mulhollands have found an intermittent fault code with or concerning the correct operation of the "gateway" between engine ECU/transmission (or whatever)

Is this likely to be the source of the intermittent "dropping drive" fault when low speed manouvering on a hill.

Where the engine ignores the throttle pentiometer input, holding a dead tick over, with the revs jumping to 2000-2500 once the selector lever is slipped from Drive to Neutral (whilst holding the car stationary on the parking brake) AND having kept ones throttle foot ABSOLUTLY stationary.

After incrementally loading the throttle in repeated attempts to pull away, with the car running back between-times until halted with the parking brake.

Anyone have any input?

Cheers

Marcus
