It Fits !!!!!

Featured Replies

The green filter from my octy tdi pd 130 fits straight into the octy Vrs....so it's not for sale :P .

I've given it a wash.....and read the handbook....now what else do you do with a new car........because if I can't think of something else to do I may have to take it out for a drive again :D

We could have told you it would fit, what with all the Octy's having the same air box (with the exception of the 1.4 and 1.6) :P

Have you Ombrello'd it yet? I'm gonna have to order some more of that stuff for my new car ... as well as a new Green filter, uprated bulbs, etc, etc :D:rofl:

Funnily enough I was just on the weathertec site....going back to a car without ombrello on the windows is murder....not sure if Briskoda have a discount set up with weathertec or is it worth trying to set up a group buy?

Lighting comes next.........and then .....I am sure I'll think of something else

There's a 1.4 Octi?

Not aware of any discounts, but if there is enough interest for a group buy, stick my name down :D

Chris

My Octy 1.9 Sdi was 68 bhp

Yep they do a 1.4 16V Octy and I had one. They are quicker than you would think ;)

Rob, my SDI is about 74BHP now :D

I'm sure my Sdi went faster if you put the heater fan on full blast it sort of sucked itself along

And who's that taking the picture of your car ...cant be you they've got hair :D

The inlaws have an Octy 1.4 and it's not to shabby TBH, maybe a little under powered but still goes well for such a heavy car and it's very very good on petrol.

By the look of it Jons 1.4 came with a boot spoiler as standard

Nah, the spoiler was an option ;)

Oh and the person taking the picture is a lovely lady called Clare. Boyced may well have met her at some point :)

Funny you should mention the spoiler, the inlaws did come with a spoiler for no extra cost.

Cheers that sounds just right

One of these days I'll get round to actually putting mine on - I have two lots bought in the first group buy - must be 2 years ago now. Put off by the amount of precleaning required. :(

Believe me it is worth the effort...the front window is great but being able to see clearly out the side windows in a down pour on the M25 is pure magic..

All I did was wash the windows off well and then cleaned them with mr. muscle window cleaner ...let it dry then put the ombrello on

Likewise, except I used Homebase's own glass cleaner. Took me about 30 mins all in to do all the windows and mirrors, although I suspect on an Octy, you might not have enough Ombrello to do all that as it was only just enough for the Fabia. Well worth it though :D

Btw, the 1.4 Octy can be made surpisingly quick by adding an Isle of Wight sticker to the back ;)

Chris

Then you have to polish the Ombrello in some strange way IIRC?

I've given it a wash.....

You liar-i washed it-you washed a bit of bird poo off the bonnet but i washed the rest of it!!!

 now get out of that one! :D

I seem to recall the sides were washed this morning ....so when are you going to finish the rest of it off....the front ...the back....the roof...the windows

Just buff it with a dry cloth. Much easier than Rain-X which needs you to spray water on it and then buff it :D
