I've just had giggles as an insurance company referred to my Kia Cee'd as a Creed. Several times. I nearly said..I'm not an assassin...(not sure anyone will get that link lol)

Oh I had that one so every year when I listed the brake upgrade, uprated suspension and non-standard alloys....from the same guy at the same broker.......I think they all must haver a script that they have to read from, regardless of how obvious the answer is....

Still, it gives us something to chuckle over.

Some years back my previous classic car insurer had been taken over, I rang up the new company to insure a Standard Vanguard. It went a bit like this, with the insurance guy getting more and more annoyed:

"Make and model of your car?

"Standard Vanguard Phase 2"

"What make is it, I don't have Vanguard listed?"

"It's a Standard Vanguard"

"I know it's a Vanguard, what make is it?"

"It's a Standard"

"I know it's not been modified, what make is it?"

"Standard"

"I have to have a make and model, what make is a Vanguard?"

"It's a Standard Vanguard"

"Yes, but what make is it? (he then reeled off a lot of names like Austin, Ford etc.)

"You're new in the classic car insurance department aren't you?"

"Yes, I was in buildings and contents, it's my first day here, how did you know?"

"Because My Standard Vanguard was made by the Standard Motor Company in Coventry, it is a Standard Vanguard"

"Oh"

By now I was laughing so hard I had to hang up.

Once had to call them up about my change of reg plate.

I asked to amend my registration details
