How do you change the preferred TP station on this model.

In the UK it seems to only give 2 options - All stations or Capital Radio.

However "all" does not seem to find any other major Stations.

Can Capital be changed to another Radio Station?

I believe you are getting TP and TMC confused, as they are very different.

TMC

You can only select capital, because that is the only station broadcasting TMC data that your columbus can currently receive. There are only a small selections of stations that broadcast this data in the UK.

TP is traffic announcments broadcast on normal FM, all stations transmit the required flag when a travel announcement is playing. RDS EON carries this data and is present on every station. The headunit will use whatever station you are listening to at the time for TP.

I thought it was Classic FM that transmits TMC data over FM...

a, I've found this:

Newer VW / Audi nav units use Trafficmaster TMC data which is broadcast over most commercial local radio stations but not Classic FM.

Classic FM broadcasts iTIS TMC data which VW no longer license, older pre 05 nav units (and map discs) did use iTIS data however....

Mine is currently self-selecting to use 'Free H&W' for TMC, so I guess there might be regional variations!

That's the only station my Columbus seems to know about in this area (I haven't looked at what's available when I go further afield).
