Just ordered a polo rear wiper arm and blade

Featured Replies

As the above is it worth it??? Mine just don't clear the rear window and my blade is in tact and fine

I recently replaced my original wiper arm and blade with a Polo one. It is definitely worth it in my opinion and improves the look as well :)

Yeah well I just read it actually works better than the skods crappy one and looks a lot tidier! Decent price too! For the job lot

I have one on mine, works fine and suits the fabia better IMO, so I would say its worth it :)

I want one of these but my standard one is proper stuck on! Think I would need to dremel it free!

Just use a wiper arm remover tool :) I've got the full lot from vw inc the end cover for £24 inc vat which I didn't think was bad

Mine was a complete b**** to get off but it came off eventually with the help of wd40. Looks a lot better and a good cheap mod to do.

use wd on the bolt and a flat head behind the assembly (be careful to not hit the glass and it should come right out, if not get some oil on the front and back of the assembly to lube it out - did mine this weekend with no trouble however it looks too small...my original wiper was longer :( )

I've just replaced my standard wiper with the polo one, thanks very much to andy2407 who put a thread together, the thread can be found here, which made it nice and easy to see how to go about it.

Has anyone found that the blade presses to hard against the glass? mine presses against the surface of the window far to hard directly in the middle of the blade forcing it to bend the blade and therefore not clear the window correctly, also its very noisy on each change of direction (after completing each wipe) as the blade rolls over and is dragged the other way, I would really appreciate anybody with a solution to help me out?

I've got the same issue however I think if you fitted a spring washer or two it should push it up enough but keep the torque value
