Hi all. Just wondering what settings i should have for being able to clearly hear the nav instructions on my Columbus? I have the nav announcements set to high and the volume of the music to drop as far as possible during announcements bit its still pretty quiet at motorway speed. Do i need to adjust the speed related volume setting and if so, which way?

I usually adjust the volume when shes speaking direction just tyrn the volume control like you would when music is playing.

Same here. Never had an issue as it can be set very loud. Just adjust as she is giving you a direction as Grizzle has said.

i meant when Im listening to music, seems very quiet still. i don't expect to have yo turn the music down myself just so i can hear directions?

Go to TONE => Volume settings => Navigation and voice control => Reduce entertainm. vol.

This gives you the option to change how much the audio volume is reduced when making traffic announcements (Low, Medium or High). Have a play with this and you should be able to control how much the music volume is dropped when a navigation announcement is occurring. As the others have said, if you want the announcements to be louder, just increase the volume via the normal volume control when an announcement is being made (you can force it to make/repeat an announcement by pressing the right hand control knob)
