Octavia vrs estate, creaking rattling interior.

Featured Replies

Hello all, I have a 2008 octavia vrs estate. Does anyone have problems with interior creaks and rattles? Reason I ask is that myne is bloody horrendous if I have the radio off. Seems to be coming from both rear doors, around that area.

Coming from an Audi which was silent in terms of rattles etc has made me a little sad :(

Any help or advise would be great, wouldn't mind hearing from other owners to.

The boot cover on mine squeaks where its held in place but that's it.

What annoys me is the seat rubbing against the trim in the back. Makes a squeaking noise. More so in the summer when the leather is warm and soft. Drives me nuts.

Yep mine squeaks and rattles like a good un too!

Seems to be mostly around the luggage cover / back seats. Might have a look and see if I can find where it's rubbing this weekend ( rain permitting)

They all rattle a bit I think, not a Bentley I'm afraid.

Mines pretty good but then it is only 3 months old with less than 3k on the clock but already the temperature control rings on the climatronic panel vibrate at certain revs which is a bit irritating.

Ok so I have fixed all the creaking, quick spray down on the door seal rubbers with silicone spray and its now silent and a joy to drive! Very happy!

doesnt silicone spray damage the colo on the material ??

mine is still rattling , comming from the center of the dash , when i push on the air vent i hear rattling , if i push on a random place near the air vent in middle of the dash ( center ) i can hear the rattling again

Mine is fairly quiet (almost two years old) the odd rattle or squeak but nothing that bothers me, I jus turn the radio up.
