Hi All,

I have engine trouble with my 1.8 4x4 turbo.

The engine warning light is on, it has been plugged in, and i have injection problems, apparently 1 injector is not controlling how to much to inject, so the mechanic tells me (not known which injector though), But the car runs fine.

Up until recently though, when i start the car, on occasions it idles fine, and then the engine drops off, if im pulling out of junctions it happens again, the power just goes, if i turn the car off and back on it sorts the problem out (bit this isnt ideal sat in the middle of the road).

Could/are these problems linked, and is there a cheap fix at all.

Erratic idle and hessitation could be maf related. Mine is doing the same and is currently running with maf disconnected.

There easy enought to clean arn't they?

Is it likely to happen again, are they expensive to replace?
