green led's in side bumper vent

Featured Replies

Hi all, about to take off my bumper to fit some green legs to make me side vent glow :D

just wondered if anyone else has done this or im the first. tried it quickly last night and looked good, so going to do the job properly today.

I just hope bumper off isnt a hard job :/ lol

Can help feeling its going to look a bit 90's Fast and Furious neon-esq be I'll hold judgement until I see the finished item!

Sorry mate red and green should never be seen, amber or white imho. :)

If you're going to do it, could maybe make it amber as said, to act as side markers?

Personally though, I doubt it'll be my thing, but will wait until you're done.

Taste (or lack of) is a personal thing. Just make sure they are separately switchable as you can't run them like that on the road legally and unlike other mods that are subtle, this one screams 'pull me over'.

Or BLUE should not be used either.

i was under the impression green was a legal colour, unlike blue or red. welll ive fitted them, ill try and load pics soon, but my missfortune i put petrol in my lil beasty TDI :(

so put half a tank of diesel in, then went home, drained just over half of the mixed fuel out, then put another half a tank of diesel in... seems to be ok, but we shall see tomorrow.

least the lights look beast but quite subtle

I run with my grill lights all the time and havn't had any issues with plod. My dad runs them on his R33 GTSt Skyline with no probs.

unless hes jsut going so fast in the skyline that police cant keep up in the 1.7cdti astras?? :D

i think it looks subtle, but people do kinda brake and slow down when you appear behind them (while doing the speed limmit) lol

Its an individual thing - and the green theme is at least in keeping with Skoda corporate colours etc. Its always going to be a marmite thing; and I'm guessing that will run as far as whether you get a friendly word in your shell-like. These sorts of things are the nearest you can get to putting flourescent tubes under the car so you can't be surprised if a bored traffic officer chooses it to keep him busy.
