right guys ive decided to sell after needing a bigger car,

wheres best as autotrader is too expensive, pistonheads is now a joke, ebay is full of timewasters and gumtree is full of scammers..

so ium really struggling to think of where to put it for sale or for swap for a bigger car as even swapz is littered with idiots..

so im stuck haha any info on somewhere good would be great

I'm not trying to sell on here buddy. I'm asking a question regards where to sell I've listed no details on the car or any price pics anything I'm just asking where's good now as its been a long time since I sold a car

Even "what's it worth" type threads are construed as backhand advertising.

You have a choice of either joining freedom, or just sticking on pistonheads. (I'll be removing this in a bit if freedom not used)

I'd have thought on here was a good place to start, but remember that modified/custom vehicles are more difficult to sell as they appeal to less people than stock vehicles.

I do find it odd that the forum rules are enforced quite strongly on threads like these; whereas those on the classified forums often get "bumps" from their OPs and nothing is said. Often these "bumps" are from well known forum members, who ought to know better in the first place yet are not pulled up. If folks are to be reminded of rules, that courtesy ought to be extended to ALL members, regular posters & moderators included.

im just tired of modified cars now tbh mate and looking for a more bigger suited family car . ive kinda lost all interest in the modifying scene, i suppose maybe im growing up lol

pistonheads last time i advertised my scooby on there i got bombarded with stupid third party companies wanting to sell my car for them at a fee then theres the timewastes like gumtree

Got to say. lately I wonder why I bother with Freedom contributions.

I'll be unlikely to renew as I don't really feel part of the forum anymore.

Might as well get my moneys worth and flog all my old bits and pieces

Free advertising is a Freedom perk and it is Freedom members who are most likely to report What is it worth? and other threads which either clearly do or might be viewed as circumventing rules for selling. I agree that 'bumps' are also against the rules - and in my view their use is selfish since they disadvantage those who posted ads later - but they are rarely if ever reported. The answer of course is to report them and for Mods to delete them - which would result in the ads involved returning to their original posted positions in the relevant threads. You could start be reporting some of the more blatant uses of bumps and seeing if Mods are even handed in enforcing the rules.
