Rear Anti Roll Bar

Hi there im thinking of getting a rear anti roll bar for my Fabia VRS and was wondering which is the best one to go for? There seems to be a fair differnece in price between the Whiteline and Jabba Sport products, is this reflected in their perfromance?

The Jabba bar is stiffer than Whiteline, although the Whiteline is still a massive difference from standard.

I'd go for the Whiteline one as it's cheaper, and adjustable so you can slowly get used to handling as you adjust it stiffer.

I'd save your money and stick to standard.

The car is findamentally floored in terms of handling.

Accept it for what it is and adjust your driving style.

I'd go for the jabba one out the two. I actually prefer without and believe driver training is a better option.

I have Whiteline RARB and its the best thing I have added to my VRS, just makes the car much more pleasant to drive, seems to get rid of most of the under-steer and makes the steering feel more direct when changing direction.

Sorry Fred, don't agree, Whiteline RARB reduced understeer noticeably, I have mine on the middle setting.

Fabia bodyshell is stiffer than VWs due to Skodas rally heritage, they actually handle better than most small hatches once you cure the dreadful console bush problems.

Whiteline RARB is one of the best mods for the car.

Skoda always build their cars with rallying in mind, it's the only motorsport they're really into, look at the depth of the sills, the centre tunnel, the chunky pillars, the way everything is curved for strength, even the windscreen is raked so that stones glance off, it's WAY stiffer than Golfs and Polos, so much less scuttle shake. I've owned many Golfs, Polos, Passats etc. and the only car VW built that even comes close was the Passat Mk III, now that was one tough car, terrific build quality too.

Ok, thanks for the input, it doesn't have a chassis. I know the VW floorplan layout is common to many cars however I disagree with you very strongly about how the rest of the monocoque affects the overall sfiffness of the car. The standard suspension is irrelevant because you take it all off and throw it away when you build a rally car. Lack of body stiffness is why scuttle shake is so bad in most convertibles.

I would say get the Whiteline one if you're on standard suspension. These things work on the leaniness (if there's such a word) of the suspension.
