This a rare chance to own a massive brake upgrade for any car, they are huge Brembo calipers,as you can see in the picture there 11 inches long calipers are 4 pots, they were fitted to ibiza cupra. The disks are ap racing bells&rotors measuring 343mm which cost over £800 new, still have loads of meat on them,we were using yellow stuff ebc yellow stuff pads these need changing but price has been reflected

These need to fitted to wheels at least 18 alloys Posted with eBay Mobile

Added more pics to show the carriers as well they should fit most 5x100 cars the wheels that were on the car were oz leggerla with et of 38

On the forth pic, they look different

They look like scrap in the listing TBH. That set was probably a fair few quid - wouldn't you want to clean them to within an inch of their life to improve the listing as much as possible? Remind him that he can't claim from the courier for damage as it's fraud; they were fu**ed when he sold them and he's cunningly hidden the worst bits in those pictures!

phone consumer direct they will tell you how you stand they are a government body.

I can see the bells that were drilled by a blind hippo in every pic

I asked him about the discs,

I said "I've been told the discs are un-safe, what can you do?"

He said "Mate they were fitted by rally company so there wrong I spent 40 on postage and 42 on postage which I can't get back now so bit unsure what to say"

Dont bother emailing him anymore.

Start a claim thru pp and go thru tgem. First steps are comms between you both. If unsatisfactory you escalate it after so long and they make a ruling. Keep all pics and emails to send to back up your story.

How much was the kit tho?

Rally company my arse. No decent place would drill even more holes in the bells let alone like that then fit them to a road car.

Good luck mate.

You wont get anywgere with seller by sounds of it.

Thanks for all you're advice. He's said in not so many words in previous messages that a part refund let alone a full return/refund is not going to happen. so yea pointless messaging him anymore, im going to ignore him on eBay and open up a claim on pay pal.

Why me lol

well if in doubt, ask for more pics in future. Those bells are not on at all.

What did you pay for the kit?

paypal claim is the only way as said.

Sooooooooo,

What calipers would u recommend then?? What u got? Any pics? ;)

Porsche?

Leon R?

Etc???

some that are in good condition and roadworthy ? ... glad to see everything went in your favour ...

I have some Tarrox 6 pots I think you would like ;)

the leon cupra r setup, brembo gt setup (both 4 pot and very similar) work very well and are tried and tested (and designed) to work with the vag master cylinder.

Other porsche 4 pots are a good way forward IF you fit the right ones, have a look on here, group1rs has some on his, am sure he will pm/post the part numbers needed, then just get some adapters from someone like mbt or ebay to fit them to your car with custom brake lines. You can fit 312s and use standard discs, or get carriers that allow 323 (LCR fitment) or even up to 330mm iirc.

After that 6 pots can work, but can have more pedal travel depending on the kit, also they cost more unless you can get a deal off a nice forum member such as the one above:>

Hmmmmm, tell me more :)

Hi if you are going the Porsche caliper route. The part numbers you need are

996.351.425

996.351.426

These are Porsche 996 front calipers.

Contact Dave Brown at Vagbremtechnic who will be able to supply all parts.

You will need carriers and steel lines some pads and quality fluid. I use Ferrodo DS2500 pads and standard octy 312 discs. This combination works excellently.
