Hi all, on first start up I'm getting the very faint siren noise but only for the first 10 ish seconds from cold!!

Is this an early sign of turbo going or just something sticking?

What causes the siren noise?

Basically question is have I got an easy fix or is it wait for turbo to let go and replace??

Cambelt tensioner?

I would suggest you would be able to hear the noise on spool down as well.

could be something daft like alternator clutch pulley ?

Thanks guys, tried to locate a noise earlier but it didn't do it!!
