Yeti LED DRLs, what dyou have?

Featured Replies

Pulled the DRL bulb to go look for an option to swap mine out but found it to be a bulb I've never seen before (and I've seen many :-))

Any advice on the best options guys?

Cheers

Good question - always wondered the same.....

There are some led kits you can buy but this involves putting in a ballast so the can-bus does not bring up a fault but unless you make your own wiring loom/attachment.

it will involve cutting into your wiring loom which will void the warranty on the car as I asked skoda when I fitted my Bluetooth,MDI and satanav anything plug and play is ok but if you cut or modify the wiring loom in any way it voids your warranty.

That's all on the pretence that your dealer knows that you have done it in the first place but this would involve taking out the led bulbs every time you visited the dealer for service etc etc

And before anyone says anything scotchblocks will void the warranty with my dealer as they deem this to be cutting the wiring

As I asked when enquiring about my towbar fitting

Stumpi, if you do a search for LED DRL's on here, there's tons of stuff about them. Lots of people fitted them using bullet connectors or scotchblocks, but you have to fit resistors, or you get a warning up on MFD. Personally I took mine back out and put the OE bulbs back in, as the Led's could hardly be seen in bright or sunny weather.

I think those are the ones mentioned in the other threads on here.

Note: they include to resistors to clear the "bulb failure" fault.

They are the ones most of us used.
