The time has come for some new tires, opted for RS2's but I'm unsure of which size to go for, on standard vrs wheels, 205/45 or 195/45? What does everyone use ?

I've got 205/45/16s on, RS2's. Get them!

205/45/16 as it left the factory

205/45's are standard. Rainsports are a good choice of tyres. I'm on my 2nd pair now. I bought mine from Camskill last year. Worked out as £150 a pair after fitting.

Thanks for the replies ill stick with 205's then, I've got friends who can fit them for free too, £250 for all 4 delivered from camskill which I think is really good

That sounds like a great bargain.

If I had used my brain a couple of months back I would have kissed goodbye to a minute amount of road holding in favour for a slightly better ride on our rubbish roads and more protection against pot holes. Yes, I would have gone the 50 profile route one way or another.

Anyone running a petrol Fab should go 195 because the 205 makes for a taller final drive and it slows 'em down a fair bit.
