Well, Went out today, Took the car, The wife and one of our daughters, Oh yeah and the dog on a trip to the lake district, No problems, Car ran great and then the amber engine warning light came on, Which the handbook reckons is something to do with exhaust emissions, Great start only had the Octavia a week and it's already got to go back to get this sorted :(

Sorry, It's an 05 Octavia, 2.0 TDI, Tried the car again this morning thinking it may have ''reset'' itself, But no the light is still on..

Also, Can i still drive the car with this light on?

I think the best thing to do would be to take it back to the dealer. Hopefully it will be under some sort of warranty

Well car went into the dealer today and the response i got back was -- ''The code was generated from a previous fault regarding the EGR Valve'', Hence the engine management light coming on :S They have reset it and i got to keep an eye on it for a couple of days.. :wonder:
