Top rubber door seal come away

Featured Replies

Hello...

The rubber seal that goes atop the doors has come away and given it's age, it seems to have hardened and shrunk and I can't get it back on, or get it into the right position to enable to glue it.

For some silly reason, Skoda want £90 each for them, but I need one from an estate and there aren't any about in scrapyards and I don't reckon I could pull it off without damaging it anyway.

Any hints/tips/wisdom please chaps?

Appreciated.

I had to get some for my pickup, I tried everywhere, all the usual factors and body panel shops, in the end I had to bight the bullet and get them from skoda, the pickup ones aren't as dear as the estate ones but they were still a lot of money.

Buggery, nevermind, I've botched them on with silicone sealant for now. Looks pretty hideous, but I'm selling her maybe this week anyway.

Shame it's not a hatchback jonesy, I would have snapped your arm off for it otherwise.

Haha, I'd love to try and tempt you into buying it but I'm not even gonna try.

For some odd reason you can't get those rubbers lower than 70 Euros in CZ too...

What's even odder is that they are still available to buy from skoda, most of the body panels and other random parts are obsolete now, not surprised they've still got loads at that price mind you.

Most parts for Felicia are quite cheap, but brother... God forbid you need any new body part... it's like you suddenly own an Aston Martin.
