Limited edition centre caps

Featured Replies

Evening all! I'm looking at swapping the badges on my limited edition VRS for the newer type, but my only issue is that the centre caps are this odd large type which I have only ever seen on my neighbours mondeo ST220!

Obviously the skoda badge is part of the entire centre thingy, so is there any way of swapping this for the new type? Also, what is this centre cap type called and how common are they?

Thanks all!!

Any wheel experts?

The Skoda logo looks like a sticker to me?

It is possible to replace the caps on other Skoda alloys with the latest black and silver ones whereby the cap is the same size as the badge, such as the Zenith and Neptune alloys from the vRS.

I don't think there will be a straight swap option for you.

I must say that LE wheel looks nice and straight!!

I must say that LE wheel looks nice when they are straight!!

I've corrected that for you :giggle:

mine didn't for very long so got rid of them for some round ones :whew:

Right, took my centre caps off today and it appears that I can just stick in a normal centre cap.

This is how i looks: (google image, not took one myself yet, a proper pic will follow though)

I think they'd look ok with the new Skoda badged centres in, what do you lot reckon?

I'm with you, prefer it without the cover

The holes look great.

The new badges exist already but not sure about the size. Front and rear are the same. Cost from a dealer £16.80 each. Two days delivery, they don't have stock at the moment.

As you said, the Mondeo ST comes with those caps over the bolts and all they do is look bad and get scratched to hell when you try and remove them.

Ok then, as promised, here's pics of with and without the standard centre caps, obviously new (small) Skoda centre caps will appear in the place of the hole.

Thoughts?

Opinions at all?

Having trouble viewing the pics. Did they upload okay?

What's the diameter of the original caps? I'm looking for some Skoda ones to fit my Audi winter wheels and they could be good, better than the caps for the Vega alloys.

I'll try again, I've massively reduced the image size, so fingers crossed!

Good question! I'll go out and measure up, however, I wound't sell them just so I can return them to standard if need be.

However, they are quite pricey! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-SKODA-OCTAVIA-VRS-LIMITED-EDITION-MONZA-ALLOY-WHEEL-CENTRE-CAP-/380610651895?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item589e29a6f7

Thanks. I didn't think you would sell them I'm just interested to if they would fit. The Vega caps cost £10 from TPS so I thought the limited edition ones might be a bit more.
