Hi, I ordered a new Octavia (I am a Skoda owner and the instant I saw it and test drove it I had to have it) it is a 1.4tsi Elegance, Race blue and the only extra I chose was the Columbus Sat Nav.

Does anyone know how long usually it would take? My dealer said the end of July but I must admit, I really really want the car and was wondering based on other people's experiences how long it took for their new Octavia's to arrive?

I chose Race blue because, well, it's a beautiful colour for a beautiful car!

My order went in about a week ago (company car, via a lease company) and the dealer is talking about mid July, so a couple of weeks after my current car is due to go back.

I ordered the beginning of Feb and it arrived mid April

Ordered mine 15th March no build date yet (Elegance 2.00 TDi DSG Race blue)

Ordered mine 23rd March, build "first week of May" delivery "end of May". Elegance 2.0 D, manual, denim blue, xenons, winter pack, park pilot, rear LED, space saver spare wheel and Mitsumi iPod connection.

Thanks everyone, I'm really jealous of your Octavia Stokey, it's my car and you already have it. I bet it's wonderful to drive and own.

You ll love it, the 1.4 TSI is great! I'm jealous of you getting Columbus ! the Amundsen is great but I'm sure extra screen size will be fab !

ordered end Feb and collect on Thursday.....so about 6 weeks. Took 2 weeks from being built to landing in the dealership

I hope mine takes 6 weeks! That'd be awesome, my dealer has yet to phone me though so I'm not sure........

A lot depends how long it has to wait for a boat. Mine was bundled off the goods train and straight onto a boat but could wait 10 to 14 days. Typical is a month from build to UK dealership but mine was quicker than usual

I can't count. End feb to 9 may is about 10 weeks....

i must say, now i wish i had waited and not got a superb but got a mk3 octavia, they actually look really nice and sleek, i still love the superb but the styling of the octavia is sooo much better, even the fl superb coming soon doesn't have a look in on the octavia, i would have got a s spec 1.6 tdi, arhh, still the superb's interior is so much more spacious but the looks on the octy are so much better and can see alot of audi drivers maybe heading to the skoda dealer pretty soon, good luck getting your octavia and hope your happy with it,

A bugatti veyron is beautiful. My wife's Audi TT is beautiful.

My race blue vrs is mean and purposeful. My race blue elegance I collect tomorrow will look understated and classy I would say......

Hope the new car is going well? More pics would be great!!! Did you spec the Golus 18s? Hoping they don't kill the ride too much but based on my Berb's ride should hopefully be ok

No it's a company lease Car so didn't spec big wheels.

Car is great, massive jump in build quality. 150 bhp diesel isexcellent. Don't understand how they took 100kg out of the car as it seems to have about 40 stone of sound deadening. Much more refined than my mk2 Vrs, which was a pd admittedly.

If you closed your eyes you would swear you were in a Audi A4

Yeah, I don't think any of those cars are beautiful, I think the Octavia is and that's that.
