Replacing drivers side door loom

Featured Replies

Got a replacement loom to whack in my door when I get chance, wanted to test it before fixing it into the door though.

How do I get to the connector that runs from the door and disappears into the car? Is it just the panel above the foot pedals under the drivers console?

Ideally want to plug it in there and run it directly to the basics (window/central locking control, heated mirror etc) before fixing it into the door.

Yes if you remove the panel right next to the pedals the loom plugs in there. You will have to remove the bonnet pull first mate. On the loom check for corroded pins and also broken wires in the area that passes from car to door. Ive had two replacement looms now and havent lasted long. Best to get one from late car. Last one i got i pretty much re wired the whole thing! Around 120 from the stealers. Another tip, you will need to cut the ty wrap clips off so get some new ones from the dealers, about 40p each makes a much better job :-)
