I am taking delivery of a new Octavia next week. I'm about to remove the towbar from our 6yr old Octy to be able to use it on the new one. Is it a straightfoward operation?

Will my existing 5 spoke alloys fit on the new car, someone said they have a different stud line-up, is this true?

A slight problem with the ext door handle on passenger door means it has to be opened from the inside, is this a big job or something I could tackle myself?

Welcome to Briskoda. The wheels won't fit since the PCD is different - the old Octavia is 5 x 100 and the new is 5 x 112. I would be very surprised if the towbar fits too.

Whereabouts are you from in Ireland?

as DGW said, both the towbar and wheels won't work on the new one. You'll have to flog them!
