Fiscon and Samsung Galaxy S4

Featured Replies

Hi

I have just upgraded my phone to an S4 and it is working with the fiscon via the Bolero for calls. However, it does not seem to want to do bluetooth audio streaming.

Any ideas?

You might need to wait for a firmware upgrade to the Fiscon unit to support the latest BT profile that the S4 uses.

Ah. Is that likely to happen?

Is there any way of finding out the details of your fiscon module without having to physically look at it? i.e. codes you could enter into bolero etc?

Contacted Fiscon who gave me a stock reply of "we cannot support you as you didn't buy directly from us"

This is why I got rid of my Fiscon, aftersales support was non existent.

I'm starting to wonder why the dealer put that in and not the OEM part. Didn't question it at the time, but I'm gonna have to press them to get it up to date.

Got a software update, still no BT audio streaming from phone. hate.

Did you code the unit so it would do A2DP streaming? It doesn't do it by default. You need to key the following number into the phone whilst paired: *582#4003

Then press the call button. This tells the Fiscon to enable music streaming. Phone will tell you the call has failed. But Fiscon understands what to do! Now turn off ignition for a few minutes and then on again. Press play on your paired device and select the now available bluetooth option in media.

Yes - it works with The HTC Sensation XE.

OK, got it working. Had to use the code 258224003 to re-activate the device (Galaxy S4 did not like the *582 code). Now works a treat.
