Which?

Featured Replies

Appears that the VW group is suffering from poor reliability and getting worse.

VW is now poor

Seat, Skoda and Audi all average.

The TT has one of the lowest scores appears to be due to failures in the engines electrics.

This doesn't look good for the vRS then!:(

Does anyone else get Which? magazine? Might have made me think differently when buying. Already had one major problem how many more?

Had a free trial from Which? but didn't find it that useful - everyone buys cars for different things, and it's too subjective. I'd say my Skoda has been fantastically reliable, but I've had more trouble with problems on it than any other car. That said, I've never had a car as new or with so few miles on it. You can see if I was asked my opinion on my car on a scale of 1-10, how you wouldn't get the full story... ;)

Reliability figures will have been hammered by the recent spate of coil pack failures - and rightly so. However as far as Skoda cars are concerned, that survey would not deter me from buying another one.

Rightly so if it differentiates this as being an issue with the 1.8T unit only though, as some of don't have this problem (and never will! ;) )...

This is the same "which" organisation that failed to tip over a Suzuki SJ410, so got drunk and shortened the cone's distance till it failed, then shouted it all over the media!!

:soapbox:

Most people that know me know how I drive, and I was a lot more aggresive in my younger days - I had an SJ410 and never managed to throw it, if I couldn't then who could?????

:D

I get Which and think it can be useful in some areas but think most of its articles on cars are pretty c**p. I wouldn't worry - The experiences of the users on this site will give a far more accurate representation - purely focused on Skoda, can actually give you details on the mileages done and the specific faults.

I find the other frustrating thing is their group tests never seem to cover the actual product I want to buy!

Maybe they should do a group test of crap consumer magazines. "Which?" would probably come bottom of the league!
