What time is sensible to arrive at the circuit... thinking around 9ish? Also am assuming there is helmet hire available on circuit?

IMHO I'd be looking to get there about 8.30 latest. You need to get sound checked, attend drivers briefing, sort your helmet hire all before the first track session at 1045hrs.

Great thanks guys, will make sure I'm there with plenty of time. This is my first action day and also my first track session, so am planning to first head to the stand and then find someone who knows what they are doing!

Weather is looking a little more optimistic now.  No forecast rain by BBC and overnight rain should clear in time so the track should be dry.  I'll be fitting track wheels once I am in and settled.

Was thinking the same, so I fitted them to the car yesterday and intend on "bedding" them in on the way to combe
