21.8mpg

Featured Replies

Is what I got today at a track day.

then you weren't trying or or it was a twisty technical track ;)

i say 18 on a couple of airfield trackdays and 13 following a session at Castle Combe

7.8 on Saturday LOL

Was already late for a go karting session and then stupidly got lost

and ended up on motorway going in wrong direction. Had a fair bit of time to make up.

Oh how I dream of averaging 21.8mpg!

On track I get about 3 or 4mpg.

I may as well throw money out of the window as I drive round!

I used to get about 18mpg on track in my tweaked mkI Fabia VRS.

My Yeti is about that too.

It was pouring with rain.

Came back from work last week with 20.1mpg on the clock on a sedate drive home and I was overjoyed!

1700 miles in and my average is 20.7mpg including a 500miles on the motorway at 70.

Cool.

Wet track days = fun, fun, fun! :)

Wow, my average is 19mpg and that includes all the driving including track days... (roughly one per 1000 miles)

I'm getting 20.6 just gently cruising in the 740i...oh..okay, maybe with the occasional right foot plant, just to hear the beautiful V8 sound!!

I prefer it in the dry. Obviously I mean driving.....

I can get mine down to17 mpg around Oulton park 3rd/4th grear and also 17 mpg around the ring 3rd/4th and 5th gear @9 mins dead.

Feck im lucky if i get 21.8mpg driving like a granny :(

Reckon i usaly get around 15mpg :(

Gotta love a 300hp diesel :D Best of both worlds.

I also still get high teens on track. Will be interesting to see what I get at Combe on 3rd June.

Seems like it at times, but naaa i think my lambda sensors away and its over fueling massivly. Done a journey with a mate with the same kinda car as mine an following each other i used 3times as much fuel

12.4mpg today over 35miles cross country in a RS4.

I must have a heavy right foot! Checked it today over 1800 miles and it's at 20.0 mpg. Expensive motoring!

Change to the new RS6 it is more economical apparently. Mind it is almost £100k to buy, insure etc.

It is not always the price of the fuel used it is sometimes filling up twice in a day tha just feels wrong in XKR, M3s when they cannot do 300 miles on a tank when hussling.

I thought you told me they average 30mpg! :giggle:

Oops.

Managed to get 44.1mpg in the S4. Can't see me ever getting that in the S5 which is meant to be more efficient.

Should be more aerodynamic once it's lower Nicky.

That's got to help with mpg ;)

That's why I'm lowering it of course.

I'm down to 19.8 now. Getting worse.

You're down to the same as me... :)

You'll like the economy from your rapid then so long as you leave the engine alone ;-)
