replacing standard fabia stereo qith swing stereo

Featured Replies

Does anybody know which stereo wires i need to change.i have a 2009 fabia greenline but have swopped the stereo for a skoda swing.it all works fine but the stereo does not turn off when the key is removed. I have tried finding the live feed and the ignition feed but with no success

On the later stereo's I believe the switching off is not done through power wires but through the canbus system.

Not sure how you can get around that one. Maybe worth asking in the ICE section as it's a problem across all models.

Cheers

IIRC (not done this to mine but on previous HU.) but, at the back of the headunit there should be a yellow wire and a red wire, (plugged into the unit not loose). Swap these two over (so yellow into red & red into yellow) and put it all back in and give that a try.

HTH.
