heavy braking

Featured Replies

I'm not really a heavy braker when I drive and sometimes I feel my brakes are not as good as they should be. How easily do brakes glaze over if there not jumped on every now and again? Did a few emergency stops yesterday and they seam loads better even after only doing a couple.

cheap discs and pads can do this.

But usually the rears are the problem because light braking doesnt really touch them. You could wash the car and allow rust to form and have poor brakes in under an hour.

Generally spirited but safe driving is great for these cars, turbo cleaner and happier, brakes work better........and more fun

Another vote for the rear brakes, my fabia seems to suffer a lot more from this than the octavia does. It only has to start to rain and rust is already forming.

In 105k I've changed the rears twice where as the fronts really only once.
