power steering?

Featured Replies

Dad has found a 1993 K reg Favourit estate. Has it got power steering?

No. Power steering did not appear until '96 on the felicias, it does have fuel injection though.

The Favorit is real no frills motoring. Make sure its the one with the Skoda badge on the back and the black interior as they are the first ones with VW input and the difference in quality with the earlier ones is a lot.

can i just jump in here if im not too late, im looking at purchasing this:

1997 P Reg SKODA Felicia 1.3 LXi 5 Doors, Hatchback, 49,000 miles, Metallic Green, MOT-01-2006

would this have power steering? :)

I dont think so not on an LXi. However it was an option on some models.

I have an N plate 1.3 LXi, no PAS but the steering isnt that bad.

thanks for the fast reply, im looking on autotrader for a felicia. i want one thats cheap (like

You'll be lucky getting one that cheap with PAS.

I paid

thanks for that :) well im leaning towards this one on autotrader:

second one down. Whats your opinion? i only really need it to get the 2 miles to work and back daily, but im only small and never had a car with no PAS before, but if its not too heavy, i think i could live with it.

Stick about 32 psi in the front tyres and its fine ;)

lol. or another option is the 9th car down on that autotrader list. the R reg GLXi:

SKODA FELICIA GLX I, R reg.

Manual, Hatchback, Petrol, Metallic Silver, MOT-12-2005, rad/cass, S/Roof. VOLKSWAGEN MODEL, VERY GOOD CONDITION FOR YEAR, 40,000 MILES, F/S/H.

The Felicia looks ok from the picture, for that kinda money you really cant go wrong.

It may need a bit of work.

well the next one down has PAS but its a little over budget and its done 91k. not sure if this is a worth a look or not

I wouldnt jump that much just for PAS.

nah maybe not. ive been told the felicia is AWFULL to drive without PAS. how true it is i dont know because i havent driven one.

Like I say I think mine is just fine.

Its a little heavy when parking but when your moving it doesnt matter.

i'll ring him up tomorrow and see if the

I have a 94 Favorit and the steering is no problem at all. 'Real' Skodas are lovely. (Having said that my Fabia TDI feels like a space ship after a few days of driving the Favorit or VW Bus)

Im gonna be a real nusiance in this topic, but im very indecisive :p

SKODA Felicia 1.3 GLXi Hatchback,

N reg. 68000 miles, full leather, 5dr, Met blue, one owner, SH, 12 mths MoT, e/windows, e/mirrors, alarm, RCL, heated seats, alloys, stereo, superb throughout.

nah maybe not. ive been told the felicia is AWFULL to drive without PAS. how true it is i dont know because i havent driven one.
My 1.6 is fine when on the move but dreadfully heavy when parking.

That does indeed sound like an L&K I'd find it difficult to resist.

Oh and it will not have PAS.
