As kind as your offer is Jase.... I think I'll pass on this one ;-) Ha ha!

The day you get a cooler on and drive it you will notice the difference.. Before the map! Then you'll think to yourself those lads on briskoda were bang on about this fmic lark ;)

186bhp i ran before i got my fmic and stage 2 map. It even went into limp on the dyno with the smic lol.

I seriously dont no how it all cost 2k for what has been done as none off the work is hard and the turbos can be had for £650 (as i payed this)

£1000 turbo

£350 exhaust

£250 map

£300 fitting/service all give or take

Hardly rocket science.

Oviously havnt looked through the full and previous post have u the lad had new turbo and service done

The price paid was very reasonable and I would think could have been less only if the parts were bought at bargain prices.

I had an Allard VT2 turbo, Forge FMIC and Blueflame Catback fitted to my old vRS along with a turbo pipe replaced (£100 from Skoda!), oil and seals changed, custom map and so on. The total bill for that was £2500 ish, and that was a few years ago.

Parts are expensive new. As for the labor and mapping, all down to the owner's choice I guess, but if you're spending all that cash, to try and save a few quid in that area would not be wise in my opinion. Seems the OP has chosen well and is happy with the results here :-).

Not cheap this modding lark, but having stronger and more reliable components gives a nice peace of mind. That, and more grunt :-).

O really?

To be fair I had other stuff done at the same time that needed doing, and also bought the rest of my Piper system, plus had to pay a surcharge on the turbo because mine was completely buggered, hence not suitable for a recondition by Garrett.
