Reverse light switch cable

Featured Replies

Hi.

I've recently bought my skoda fabia 2001 1.4 and found out than reverse lights are not working.

From other topics in here I looked on my switch located on gear box.I can locate switch which has snaped off.

But I can't locate actual cable which swich should be conected to.

Any ideas where should I look for actual cable so I can get new switch and plug it in?

Thank you for any help.

Hi Brhy11

My reverse lights have failed to work, so having a go at fixing them on Sunday.

I have a 2005 1.2 fabia, so I believe the majority of wiring should be the same.

I have already bought a replacement switch, so will be using that to test the wiring isn't faulty.

From the Haynes book of lies the reverse switch live feed in is a Black and Red wire, which comes from fuse F13 - although Black and White wire behind the fuse. The feed to the reverse lights from the switch is a Black and Blue wire.

In summary your looking for a shield carrying two wires - one Black and Red, the other Black and Blue.

I'll try and take some photo's on Sunday to try and help further.
