vRS Rear Brake Discs & Pads

Featured Replies

As title,

What are you guys currently using or would you recommend?

I need to replace my rear discs and pads shortly and was interested to see what others recommend.

Currently I have Drilled & Grooved rear discs that were on the car when I bought it. They seem to be fine for me but would I be better getting solid discs?

I have used Mintex and Ferodo previously and found them to be good for normal road use.

Cheers Matt.

Anyone?

Pagid have done me fine for years

Pagid through Eurocarparts. Use the forum 25% discount or google for a better one... if available. They've done up to 35% off in the past...

Just stuck mintex discs and pads on mine £36 all in i think.

What pads do you have on the front? I'm also assuming they are uprated discs too. You must NEVER put better quallity brakes on the rear than the front!

As the rear brakes don't do much breaking (fronts do the most, due to weight transfer) I'd suggest plain discs, with the same pads or OEM standard.

I'd suggest Pagid, Mintex or ferodo, or even EBC. In saying that I've had some OEM Pagid pads start to de-laminate on our other Fabia.

Padgid/Bosch personally over Mintex/Ferodo in this application. Drilled/grooved makes zero practical difference when tested on the rollers and will do you even less good on the rear.

CP4L is your friend as it's ECP in disguise but cheaper.

Without taking it all apart to look the front discs look the same as the rears. They are drilled but not grooved.

Thats what i just put on mine as said before. Great price and oem quality so cant go wrong for the rear brakes.
