Hi from Aylesbury

Featured Replies

Hi,

We're from Aylesbury and own two Octavias. Mine is a 1998 1.6 GLXi with 43000 miles, my partner's is a 2003 1.9 TDI 90 bhp Ambiente with 51000 miles.

The TDI is faultless. However, I'm having some problems with the GLXi, uneven running and hesitation (could this be the air mass meter?) and a bizarre fault on the central locking (non-remote) where the driver's door lock will not lock the system but when turning the key to unlock, and holding it there, all four electric windows go down. I will post questions in the relevant forums, but any thoughts would be very welcome!

Tony

as said elsewhere the windows is a feature, convenience system i think its called

should happen when you lock it but if your lock isn't working properly then it won't

forgot to say, not too far from me then. i'm in oxford but go through aylsbury every now and then on my wau to aston hill for some riding :D

tis a big hill that one!!

Hi there. I lived in Aylesbury for a number of years when I was younger (down Rabans lane).

Id say with some certainty that your idle problem is related to the air mass meter and or a brake servo hose.

Hello to you from a former Aylesburian. I was born in Southcourt and lived there till 1974. Went back a couple of months ago and was well peeved that there wasn't a brass plaque on the house where i grew up :D

Hi from a current Aylesbury resident here :D
