312mm Upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi, this might be a daft question but im thinking about doing the 312mm upgrade around July time but im just unsure on what cars which have the 312mm brakes as standard are able to switched onto the vrs?

Would i be right in saying the Golf and Octavia are amongst these cars? im not really sure on any others if im honest, had a quote off a guy on Ebay for about 300 quid for calipers, carriers, discs and pads but if i can go to a scrappy, get some decent undamaged ones a lot cheaper and then slowly get other bits like the brake lines and discs and pads that would be sound.

Im assuming you can't use the same carriers but the brake lines would reach but to me that would defeat the object if you changed everything but the brake lines im guessing i might be wrong!Ive had a search and couldnt see any definitive answers about the brakes hence the new post.

Cheers.

Haha i wouldnt worry it gets asked about 4 times a week in here.

Octy VRS and TT seems to be the most common donors.

Mine came from an S3, but if i were to do it again theres a guy on Ebay that does refurb units with discs and pads what ever colour you want for about £80-150 more than a 2nd hand set!
