I've come to my senses and decided to carry out the elephant and the egr delete mods. I quite fancy some clean cooler' pipes.

My question is, and i have searched,

Would simply removing the vacuum line to the egr and blocking both ends successfully stop the egr from functioning?

I ask as I would like to retain the anti shudder valve.

If you disconnect and plug the vacuum line which goes to the top of the EGR, the valve is never going to open and admit exhaust gases into the intake.

and subsequently act as a diy egr delete while retaining asv?

should work yea but you will still get a light on the dash
